EWAN GALLOWAY is a young man
who is certainly going places in the Scottish Music world.
He started playing the accordion
late by current standards. He was well into his teens and heavily inspired
by Davie Patrick. Sadly Davie died on Ewans 16th birthday but Ewan keeps
his memory alive firstly by owning and playing Davie's treasured Hohner
Morino accordion and by playing Davie's favourite sets and his compositions.
Ewan's latest album is a tribute
to Davie Patrick for inspiring Ewan so greatly in all he does.
Ewan plays for the public and
in doing so gets a lot of pleasure out of it. You only have to listen
to his two albums to know that.
There's no doubt at all that
you'll be hearing a lot more of Ewan in the future whether at dances
and ceilidhs playing with his band or at accordion Clubs as guest artist.
You can hear Ewan every Saturday
night at 6.00pm when he hosts his own radio show on TD1 Radio - The
Scottish Shindig.
You can follow him on Facebook
at either www.facebook.com/ewangalloway or www.facebook.com/the scottishshindig
